REVIEW: the "omega 1"

The new engine that will change the world of internal combustion!!!

The rotary engine “omega 1” of the American company Astron Aerospace

The aerospace industry is also immersed in the development of the future of mobility. Those of Astron Aerospace have presented a new combustion engine that can revolutionize this technology, which manufacturers do not want to give up. It's called Omega 1 and it will surprise you with its qualities.

Those of Astron Aerospace, embarked on the future, have presented an unprecedented rotary engine with which they intend to truly revolutionize combustion, based on the turbine principle, and which makes it suitable for cars, planes and boats. The American company has developed an engine that barely weighs 15 kilograms but is capable of developing a maximum power of 160 hp and 230 Nm of torque, with a speed of no less than 25,000 rpm. The system dispenses with traditional cylinders, betting on rotors, four discs grouped in two pairs, each one with its mission: one for compression and the other for combustion.

In fact, there is no valve train, no crankshaft, no connecting rods, and no oil lubrication system, because it cools through air. Those of Astron have explained that the performance it offers is at idle speed -1000 rpm- and that up to the indicated 25,000 revolutions each revolution represents a combustion process, although it is not mandatory that it be so, but it does allow one to get an idea. the performance it can deliver. In fact, up to 10,000 rpm it injects fuel with a richer stratified charge near the spark plug, switching to a more homogeneous mixture above this limit, which also saves fuel.
