What is the difference between AWD and 4WD?
The difference between these two drives is very notable
since when we have an all wheel drive system, the vehicle will always have
4-wheel drive at all times and the transmission torque is transmitted to them
at all times, which is very useful for terrain with little adherence to the
ground and for safer driving, but unlike four wheel drive, the transmission of
torque is distributed 50% to the front wheels and 50% to the rear, which is
ideal for uneven terrain, with loose dirt and off road routes where the driver
decides if a front or rear wheel drive is required as required on the road.
So the decision will always be up to the driver depending on
the use that is going to be given to the vehicle.
